Examining the Challenges of Integration and Interoperability of a Security and Privacy Policy Framework for e-Government Services: The Case of South Africa

Abstract

The objective of the current research was to examine the integration and interoperability of a security and privacy policy framework for the adoption of e-government services in developing countries such as South Africa. Anchored upon the objective and using meta-analysis, the research draws on and juxtaposes e-government frameworks for information privacy and security in South Africa. The meta-analysis referred to was a qualitative interpretive systematic review of past and present research. We conclude by interrogating the role of framework integration and interoperability in the adoption of e-government services in a developing country such as South Africa.
