Abstract
Most of the world's energy systems were built when electricity was first introduced. Though the industry has begun to take initiatives for developments the power grid is still dwelling in the primitive age. For a country like the United Arab Emirates (UAE) where electricity consumption is increasing at a geometric rate, its ideal solution would be a smarter grid which can keep up with the immense increase in pressure. The ever increasing demand of power has made it inevitable that the society would look for alternative sources of renewable and clean energy to support their ever growing requirements. As the demand of power in the UAE threatens to overburden the existing system, the Renewable and Distributed Generation System Integration (RDSI) is a step to meet the energy quench of the future. In this paper different types of Distributed Systems which are suitable for countries like the UAE have been analyzed, and a comparative study of power generation against the demand in the UAE has been completed. Finally, considering the importance of RDSI and its financial benefit over the existing system, the prediction model for 2030 in the UAE has been analyzed and discussed.
