Macro-analysis of DoD Logistics Support Analysis Record conversion to commercial use

Abstract

This paper examines conversion of the US Department of Defense Logistics Support Analysis Record Database structure, as defined by MIL-STD-1388-2B, for commercial use at the macro level. The paper identifies the desirable qualities of the database structure, identifies those features absolutely necessary for maintaining data integrity, and suggests a method for defining those features which should be maintained.
