This technique uses vertical space for the growth of green cover. It will be beneficial for the cities having a high population density, where open space is scarce. In general, besides lowering the overall temperature, VGS has a great potential in minimizing the average consumption of energy in buildings, especially during summers. Abstract

This review paper encapsulates the documentation on the application of Vertical Greenery Systems(VGS) in a sustainable development environment for urban society.
