Abstract
This paper intends to discuss some of the theories on data visualization and their application to the arts. As an example of mapping art, I plan to analyze an artwork we have developed at Ecoarte group that presents a control panel of the data collected during the 2-day trip on the sea and river. As part of the “Sensorium: from the sea to the river” project, “Electrotravelgram” presents the data collected by different sensors as a way to tell a story of this journey. The eight measurements of the environment captured by these sensors are here presented visually in order to produce a new form of perceiving the space.
