Abstract

Distributed manufacturing network provides flexibility and agility in responding to customer demand shifts. The fundamental premise of this philosophy is: self-organization behavior emerges from the interactions between multiple autonomous business entities represented in it. Self-organization behavior in the distributed manufacturing network leads the system to find a reasonable solution for complex manufacturing problems and evolve with changes.
