The smart classrooms at the universities as one of the pillars of the e-society

Abstract

The information and communication technologies (ICT) are present into all areas of society. The society is at a crossroads where ICT, in addition to mediating, by advances in distributed systems, intelligent techniques, among others, also began to take a proactive behavior, in order to adapt it the environment to provide services not previously imagined. In that sense, evaluate their impact in all areas of society, it is an ongoing challenge, particularly in education, which will affect the universities in the future. This paper analyzes the impact of ICT in the universities, with special emphasis on the smart classrooms and their implications. In general, we will reflect about the e-education.
