SAHSA uses a stochastic search and local search instead of a gradient search. Forward and Backward Substitution Power Flow method is used to solve the radial distribution system. The proposed approach is tested on standard IEEE 33-bus and 69-bus radial distribution systems. Abstract

Distribution network reconfiguration is a complex combinatorial optimization process aimed at finding a radial operating structure that minimizes the system power loss, deviation of node voltages and service restoration while satisfying operating constraints.
