Abstract

The treatment of transplants by a combination of 8-methoxypsoralen and longwave ultraviolet radiation (PUVA) leads to prolongation of the transplants in allogeneic receivers without immunosuppression. The rejection of skin grafts in the mice could be delayed significantly. The rejection of kidney and heart allografts could be prevented completely.
