Abstract

Research is ongoing regarding mental health effects of the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic on children and adolescents. (cid:1) Early studies show children and adolescents experiencing increased anxiety and depression. (cid:1) Isolation, loneliness, lack of physical activity, family stress, and racism may contribute to the effects of the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic on child and adolescent mental health.
