Abstract
Learning is a series of mental and physical activities to obtain a change in behavior due to individual experiences in interactions with their environment involving cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Online learning takes place in a network where teachers and those being taught do not meet face to face. Online learning is the use of the internet in the learning process. Interest is defined as a high inclination of the heart towards something, passion, desire. The stronger or closer the correlations, the greater the interest. Developing an interest in something is 112 Nursing Sciences Journal. Vol. 5, No. 2, Oktober 2021 PISSN: 2598-8220, E-ISSN: 2598-8212 helping students see how the correlations between the material they are expected to learn and themselves as individuals. The study design was Cross-Sectional with a Retrospective design. The sample in this study was 74 students by using the total sampling method. The study results were the Mann Withney test in online learning interest obtained p-value = 0.00. In contrast, statistical tests on offline learning interest obtained p = 0.00. It could be concluded that online learning interest and offline learning interest indicated that p-value 0, 00 <0.05, which means a significant difference between online learning interest and offline learning interest. This study concluded a difference between the effectiveness of online learning and offline learning on students' interest in learning. This study indicated that most (63%) students had a low interest in learning when using online learning methods. While almost all (95%) students had a high interest in learning when using offline learning methods. It could be concluded that offline learning methods were more effective than online learning. Teachers and parents recommended that they be more creative in increasing student interest in learning by using online and offline learning methods.
