Abstract

A survey of 323 students from the first, second, and third year of Baccalaureate Nursing of the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences of Havana is made. A questionnaire is used for identifying the prevalence of smoking according to sex, age, marital status, and schooling. It is concluded that there is a high prevalence of smokers in this group. Recommendations are made.
