Abstract
Recently, interactive multimedia has been introduced in many institutions to improve the quality of teaching and learning. Using new authoring computer programs, graphics and sound can now be integrated into tutorial packages. The Hypercard tutorial package "MUBEAM" was developed by the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Melbourne to teach flexural design of reinforced concrete beams and has been used successfully during the last two years. The program consists of 12 cards covering different aspects of design. A brief description of the program is given in this paper.<>
