The results of this study showed that (1) the use of two cohesion markers, grammatical cohesionand lexical cohesion. The markers of grammatical cohesion were reference, substitution, ellipsis, and conjunction. The markers of lexical cohesion were repetition, synonym,antonym, hyponym, and collocation. The later result was (2) the use of coherence markers which are addition, sequencing, resistance, more, cause-consequences, time, terms, ways, uses, and explanations. Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) cohesion and (2) coherence in Indonesian Textbooks for XI Grade Senior High School. This type of research is qualitative analysis research.
