One Size Does Not Fit All

Abstract

The article presents a case study of a woman who is facing domestic violence and faces homelessness to highlight the fact the current refuge system is inadequate in meeting the needs of a particular family. A one size fits all approach that treats all women as the same fails to consider the individual experiences and needs of every woman. An integrated response based on the woman's individual and specific needs to be practiced.
