Abstract
Monitoring natural environments is a challenging task on account of their unreceptive features. The use of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) which is one of the emerging area, for data collection is a practicable method since these spheres lack any infrastructure. Landslides is one of the most aggressive natural disaster which actually causes a huge loss worldwide annually. In India landslides are mainly due to heavy rainfall or earthquake. In this paper we are proposing a new landslide monitoring system which avoids the link failure in the routing protocol. different sensor are used to check the parameters like pressure, moisture level and rainfall. The collected data processed using fuzzy technique which will increase the sensor node life span and the the data is checked with the threshold value to check the magnitude level. The approach is simulated using NS-2 and finds itself a better way.
