Blocking MSN: A Case Study of Preventing the Abuse of IM

Abstract

This paper discusses how to effectively block MSN communication. Based on the analysis of the MSN messenger protocol, five effective blocking methods and a message-driven algorithm are proposed. Experimental results are also presented to compare the performances of different methods.
