The name of Bogac Han is mentioned in one epic in The Book of Dede Korkut. Bogac Han type, which has an important place in Dede Korkut, has many historical-epic-legendary-mythological layers, the oldest of which dates back to the depths of history. The roots of Dirse Han Oglu Bogac Han Boyu are historical-mythological. The epic may have a bottom layer that goes back to ancient times. Dirse Han Oglu Bogac Han Boyu is actually an epic and innocent reflection of a sad historical event, a struggle for the throne and sovereignty between father and son. Its subject is an event whose similarity is seen in Turkish and world history. This situation is related to the historical aspect of the epic and reflects the historical ties of the epic.
