Abstract

This paper compares the performances of filter bank multicarrier (FBMC) and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) under multipath fading channels, in terms of their theoretical system capacities. OFDM generates high levels of out-of-band (OOB) radiation while being resistant to inter-symbol interference (ISI).
