Abstract

Laser breakdown spectroscopy for analyzing ultrafine particulates in liquids has been proposed.1) The laser breakdown of an ultrafine particle is induced by irradiation of a focused pulsed laser. Acoustic emission from plasma was applied for particle counting and plasma emission was used for elemental analysis.
