Abstract

Localization program is usually embedded in every wireless node to determine its location based on the location of the beacon nodes. Swarm intelligence has been used for many cases of in wireless node localization for its low computation complexity compared to classical optimization algorithm. In this paper, we propose the application of Dragonfly Algorithm (DA) to estimate the location of nodes which are randomly deployed in a designated area. The simulations were carried out and the results indicate that DA can produce low error for range based localization.
