As the main reactive compensation devices at present, synchronous phase modulator, static var compensator and static synchronous compensator have important influence on increasing the strength of weak AC system at the sending end and improving the ability of system fault recovery. At present, the existing research mainly focuses on the HVDC system receiving-end power grid. In this paper, the dynamic reactive power compensation, fault recovery and voltage stability of HVDC transmission system with weak transmission terminal are analyzed by three kinds of reactive power compensation devices. Abstract
