Abstract
In improving organizations' efficiency, knowledge transfer could play an important role. As an initial work, this paper presents a survey research on the current situation of knowledge transfer in the context of information systems integration in Thailand by focusing on three dimensions: components, processes and factors. The tool used in the survey is an online questionnaire with IOC of greater than 0.5 and Cronbach's alpha of reliability of 0.86 for the entire scale. The result from 265 samples in 56 organizations reveals that the majority of the samples has a high level of education and relies primarily on knowledge and experiences in their work. This leads to knowledge being locked in individuals. It is also found that knowledge storage is neglected and that there is a lack of appropriate environments supporting knowledge transfer. These findings identify the requirements for a knowledge transfer framework in the context of information systems integration.
