Abstract

Poor results of surgical treatment of parasagittal meningiomas encourage a development of more effective techniques of their removal. The promising method is the use of high-intensive infra-red laser irradiation (Nd-YAG laser) with a wavelength of 1,06 mkm. Data on its application for removal of parasagittal meningiomas are presented, as well as efficacy assessment as compared with conventional techniques.
