Abstract

The author discusses patent information as an ecology-related segment of the vast array of information resources. Over other types of sci-tech information, the patent information has an advantage in its uniqueness, effectiveness, reliability; its coverage of all scientific disciplines and technologies; it is published in over 140 countries [1]. The examples of ecology-related patent documents are provided. This information is accessible through the ROSPATENT information resources.
