Abstract

• List the barriers that could cause difficulties in communication between LGBT patients and providers and identify facilitators to overcome these barriers (ICS2, ICS3, PPD1). • Describe how social and medical institutions contribute to health care access disparities for LGBT patients (KP4, ICS3). • Discuss the role of training of health care providers in health care access issues for LGBT patients (Pr3, Pr4). • Identify at least three opportunities to support a patient-centered medical home or patientcentered practice to facilitate access for LGBT patients (Pr3, PPD1).
