Abstract

The present study was conducted using static reactive power compensator (SVC), and fixed capacity-thyristor controlled reactor (FC-TCR). In the study, PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivate) parameters were adjusted to self-adjusting mode via fuzzy logic (FL) applications of Fuzzy-PID algorithm with triangle, trapezoid membership functions (Model 1) and Fuzzy-PID algorithm with gauss and sigmoid membership functions (Model 2). The performance of two models with different membership functions was compared. The compensator was controlled with programmable logic controller (PLC).
