Need for Big Data Technologies: A Review

Abstract

To achieve better innovation and growth, its highly required to use the analytics and extract required value from the huge amount of data available these days. Complex problems have been solving by leading companies using Big Data technologies. Big Data is the term refer the huge amount of data generating with a very high rate and in different formats (structured, semi structure and unstructured). We have described the five V's of Big Data technologies including Volume, Velocity, Variety, Veracity and Value. Map and reduce function are also explained in this paper. Various sources are generating this data as social media, share trading and online transactions. In this paper we have diagrammatically represent the work flow of the Big Data technologies. This paper also discusses some Big data technologies, various advantages and disadvantages of Big Data technologies are led finally to the conclusion and future scope.
