Raspberry Pi board is mounted with PIR sensor which detects the movements around it, and a Pi camera which captures the image when movement is encountered the captured image is compressed on the raspberry pi using SVD compression methodology after which the compressed image is transmitted over the network to the desktop application where it is decompressed on the receiving end using Matlab.
