To improve the quality of reconstruction, the geometric parameters of material-edges are calculated repeatedly by intersection with slice plane and recognized surface. Abstract

Reverse engineering is an approach for constructing a computer-aided design (CAD) model from a physical part through dimensional measurement. This paper mainly discusses the reconstruction method of triangle model for machine elements based on industrial CT (ICT) slices. Matching degree is adopted to match the material-edges on the matching material-region.
