ABSTRACT : An observation of population figures and an analysi s of economi c activit y show the district of Legé and its neighbouring municipalities to be an area in the process of Josing its vitality. Explanations for thi s are to be found in Legé's geographical position , its isolation, and the passivity of it s Jeading citizens. In spite of efforts to bring about a development of its amenities , the situation remains disconcerting .
