Resection of the chest wall with Codubix alloplasty polymer material for treating recurrent sarcoma

Abstract

A 77-year-old patient was operated on for local recurrence of pleomorphic sarcoma of the left half of the chest wall with the involvement of three ribs in the tumor process. Successful extensive resection of the chest wall with Codubix plastic material made it possible to preserve the skeleton. Periodic accumulation of uninfected exudate can be considered as reactive plervritis, which required periodic evacuation of the contents of the left pleural cavity.
