Abstract

A description is provided for Cercospora capparis , which has been recorded in leaf spots on living and dying leaves of some Capparis species. Some information on its associated organisms and substrata, habitats, dispersal and transmission, and conservation status is given, along with details of its geographical distribution (Africa (Algeria, Libya), Asia (Azerbaijan, Georgia, India (Bihar, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh), Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan), Europe (France, Greece, Italy, Spain, Ukraine)). No evaluation has been made of any possible positive economic impact of this fungus and no reports of negative economic impacts have been found.
