Abstract

Thermodynamics and rotor dynamics are applied to establish a P&WC ST18 gas turbine model. Using T-MATS simulation tools, a steady-state and dynamic model of the gas turbine is constructed. Then, a power management module and speed feedback controller are established. To improve the simulation accuracy of the model, genetic algorithm is used to correct the maps of compressors and turbines. The simulations of optimized steady state model and dynamic model are carried out. And the results show that the established model in different operating point matches the real engine.
