Abstract
Jerusalem, al-Masjid al-Aq sa and sahra are a representation of the physics realm and with this aspect a boundary between physics and metaphysics. Two prominent points of the existential office, Ka’ba, Bayt al-Makdis and among them, Prophet’s mosque in Medina have an ontological and epistemological ideal. It consists of an ascension and descention circle along Medina, Mecca and Jerusalem. Thus, the sacred circle is determined by all its coordinates. The focus of this system of thought are Muhammadan light and Haqiqat al-Muhammadiyya. As-sahra is an ontological and eschatological element. With the creation of a meteorite this stone is become the same with Durre-i Beyza, which points to the beginning of existence. Metaphors like river, Kesib-i Ahmer, Sidrat, heaven and hell have their counterparts in the metaphysical realm as well as their geography. Bayt al-Makdis matches with Sidrat al-Muntahâ among them. But as a whole, Sidrat stands out as a model close to the earth. Sidrat contains some sublime elements of metaphysics such as al-Bayt al-Ma ʿ mur, heaven, hell, Illiyyun, Adn, Kesib and Me ʻ v a. Jerusalem is part of a wider realm of creation philosophy in Sufism. In this context, Jerusalem is a symbolic value of the system that al-Isrâ ʾ and Mi ʿ râj put this system in the axis of faith, worship and morality. This system is connected to a unique and dynamic cosmology through the belief of Qutb and Pir within the framework of the concept of Light of Muhammad
