Gender, HIV/AIDS and Stigma: Understanding Prejudice against Women Living with HIV/AIDS

Abstract

The study explores various factors that contribute to the stigmatisation of women living with HIV and AIDS. Due to the social and economic status, women are not only more at risk of HIV Infection, but also blamed for their HIV Infection and thus women living with HIV and AIDS experience HIV and AIDS related stigma and discrimination very different.
