We collect the latest approaches that have been applied in the field and analyze their advantages and disadvantages. Abstract

Blockchain technology is moving towards multichain interconnection, i.e., various blockchains sharing data, assets and functions to collaborate. To enable different blockchains to work together, Cross-chain Data Transfer technology is significant and developing rapidly, attracting the attention of both industry and academia. This paper defines Cross-chain Data Transfer (CDT) at the level of technical goals, explains the unique importance of CDT and discuss schemes for designing CDT approaches. We collect the latest approaches that have been applied in the field and analyze their advantages and disadvantages.
