Abstract
In-network caching is a technology that enables intermediate routers to store contents. Clients can download the contents from the routers in addition to content servers. Considering optimal placement of servers and contents leads to improve responsiveness and save network resources. This paper discusses joint optimization of server and content placement problems for in-network caching. We formulate integer linear programming to simultaneously determine the location of content servers and content caching. Through numerical experiments, we examine the performance of the joint optimization.
