Abstract

The authors propose a new hypothesis that the inhibitory potentials of intercellular communication play an important role in the tumorigenesis induced by various biomaterials. The authors' study showed that the tumor-promoting activities of biomaterials were caused by some additives, some catalysts, the leachable oligomers and the surface interaction of cells and materials.
