Teaching of legal disciplines through 20 x 20 presentations

Abstract

In a context of change in university teaching, andsociety, is essential to approach new methodologies that respond to the real needs for the implementation of the Bologna model. After the first stage, it has been highlighted the weaknesses of a model that does not have enough capacity in staff and equipment, and must be adjusted to the reality of the Spanish universities. Based on this context, the opportunity to implement a new methodology arises, with a strong realistic character, to improve the acquisition of knowledge in students and to encourage thinking and the development of basic skills. This article provides the challenges for the implementation of a model of teaching and learning based on the 20x20 PechaKucha presentations, as a tool to be used by law students to approach to the new technologies and their most innovative formats, which have already shown its effectivenessin other sectors.
