Postmodernistyczna solidarność w ujęciu Richarda Rorty’ego

Abstract

In this article, I present the concept of solidarity in the philosophy of Richard Rorty. I show the basics and sources of this specifi c understanding of the value of solida-rity. I present the basic concepts (contingency, irony, liberal ironist, sensitivity and tolerance) that make up this concept. I confront this approach with “objectivist” theories. In the last part, I show the possibility of its practical application in contemporary society (according to Rorty) and the conditions that must be met for solidarity understood in this way to develop.
