Pulsed helical antenna for high-power applications

Abstract

Helical antenna is a very versatile antennas capable of producing many different types of radiation characteristics. Its performance is bound by a loop (length → 0) and a dipole (major diameter → 0). Within these bounds, the helical antenna radiates a ~ circularly polarized electromagnetic wave with varying characteristics. In this paper we describe its applicability for high-power applications.
