Abstract

- In this article we present the methodology that has been applied to the course “Proyecto de Embarcaciones Rápidas y a Vela”, from the Naval Architecture degree at UPM. An approach based on Project Based Learning (PBL) is proposed, with three main objectives: that the students learn to develop the project of a fast craft or a sailing yacht; that they connect to the real industry problems; and last, to enhance their curiosity and motivation to the course content. The course is divided in two different topics and three modules: two of them are theoretical, and the third is practical.
