Abstract
The distribution of biogenic element content (total nitrogen, nitrate, nitrite, ammonium, total phosphorus and phosphate, silicon) and dissolved oxygen in the surface and bottom waters of the Yalta seaport in 2013 – 2017 is investigated. The current ecological state of the water area is estimated in comparison with the state of 2003 – 2012. In the period under study, in the water area the total nitrogen content was noted to increase both in aver-age and maximum values, which occurs on a background of a decrease in the content of inorganic forms (ammonium and nitrate nitrogen) in contrast to the previous period. As a whole the water aeration in the period under study remains insufficient, especially in the surface water layer.
