The antenna was fabricated on Roger RT/Duroid 5880 with dielectric constant of 2.2 and thickness of 0.38 mm. The design and simulation was carried out by using CST Microwave Studio and the parameters of the antenna were measured by using Vector Network Analyzer (VNA). The implementation of U-slot with Koch Snowflake fractal and Electromagnetic Band Gap (EBG) at the ground plane has results in a compact antenna with return loss of −22.38 dB, VSWR of 1.165 and bandwidth of 70 MHz.
