Hence, the COIN model is based on the ideas of object-oriented programming, which has proved to be a practical way of making software easier to design, implement, and reuse. Abstract
COIN (connected object interface) is an integrated environment for general-purpose distributed programming. It is a model for large-scale software construction, with special emphasis on concurrent and distributed systems.
