The Phenomenon of Bullying in relation to the School Coexistence of Students of the 6th Grade of Primary of Public Schools

Abstract

School bullying are aggressive behaviors that an individual exercises towards its victim, the purpose of this research is to identify the characters that predominate in this phenomenon and how it is related to school coexistence in students of the sixth grade of primary school of a Public Educational Institution from Lima Norte (Peru). The sample consisted of 27 students, 14 men (51.9%) and 13 women (48.1%) from 11 to 12 years old (Mean = 11.44, SD = .51) where 10 (37.0%) live with their mother, 2 (7.4%)) with their father and 15 (55.6%) with both parents. Then, the reliability of the scales and the relationship between the variables where aggression and verbal harassment have a significant relationship with contempt and ridicule were analyzed. Likewise, if the attacks and threats are constant, the greater will be the verbal harassment; about school coexistence, it is inversely related to aggressions.
