Abstract
New behaviors of jitter generation and accumulation in a chain of repeaters are investigated for digital transmission systems with filter-less clock recovery. It is shown that considerable jitter accumulation is encountered in such systems. Alleviating jitter accumulation by minimal Q filtering is analyzed.
