Abstract

Graphical passwords provide an alternative to text-based passwords, and empirical studies show that the recall of pictures and objects are more than that of words. This paper presents a security analysis of a graphical password scheme called the Transparent Image Moving Scheme. While the scheme is more resistant to casual shoulder-surfing t han P IN-based and pattern-based authentications, we show that it is not resistant to persistent shoulder-surfing attacks.
