Abstract

The application of radio-frequency planar inductive sensors to non-destructive testing of carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer composites, that have become one of essentially important materials in various industry sectors, is discussed in this paper. It is shown that the sensor allows detecting surface and buried defect, and provide the means to evaluate their depth inside the composite.
